EVAWQ Strategic Direction 2021-2024

GOAL 1: EVAWQ is a trusted leader in the women’s sector and has positive relationships across all sectors


  • Objective 1.1 – To develop an engagement strategy within the women’s sector including an increased membership base

  • Objective 1.2 – To develop positive relationships with interstate women’s peaks

  • Objective 1.3 – To ensure sector collaboration between services occurs at a practice level

  • Objective 1.4 - To develop and run a statewide conference on issues relating to violence against women

  • Objective 1.5 – To ensure women’s voices are meaningfully included and involved in the direction of change


GOAL 2: Funding for EVAWQ has been secured from diverse sources


  • Objective 2.1 – To seek funding grants for initial development of the peak

  • Objective 2.2 – To continue relationships with government to discuss options for long-term funding of EVAWQ

  • Objective 2.3 - To explore alternate funding sources


GOAL 3: EVAWQ plays a key role in influencing and leading change in the sector


  • Objective 3.1 – To ensure EVAWQ is recognised and consulted with by government as a women’s services peak

  • Objective 3.2 – To develop mechanisms for collaboratively sharing data that can be used to lobby for change

  • Objective 3.3 - To undertake research in collaboration with Universities

  • Objective 3.4 – To develop primary prevention / early intervention strategies

  • Objective 3.5 – To develop policy submissions and undertake advocacy on targeted issues


GOAL 4: EVAWQ has developed a strong and sustainable infrastructure


  • Objective 4.1 – To develop a framework and MOU to guide relationships with other women’s services peaks and networks

  • Objective 4.2 – To develop relevant policies and procedures

  • Objective 4.3 – To review organisational purpose, values and guidelines
