Identify significant issues and raise public awareness of gender based violence against women by:

 

  • Connecting with people in the community at a grass roots level through ongoing member feedback, participation and engagement

  • Utilising opportunities to communicate with the media

  • Promoting an understanding of all forms of trauma-based violence (including sexual violence) in the context of gender and power relations

  • Providing information on training developments and resources to services and promoting high quality training and skills development for workers through:

  • liaison with relevant national and state training bodies

  • participation in the development of accredited training
